One shirt, one career
Mazzola passed away on 19 September 2026 after a career inseparable from Inter. In 17 seasons he made 565 appearances, scored 161 goals and won eight major trophies: four Scudetti, two European Cups and two Intercontinental Cups.
He scored both of Inter's decisive goals in the 3–1 win over Real Madrid in the 1964 European Cup final, finished that European Cup campaign as top scorer with seven goals, and was Serie A's leading scorer in 1964/65 with 17. He later finished second in the 1971 Ballon d'Or and entered the Inter Hall of Fame in 2022.
